The mountains help to reawaken forgotten dreams

Gaston Rebuffat said this, about climbing up mountains rather than skiing down them.

I forget how much I love them until I see them.

We had a bit of a ski late on yesterday afternoon. The light was very flat so it was hard to see the bumps on the pistes. That's a roundabout way of saying I was skiing as though I had two planks strapped to my feet.

There's always today! Maybe my planks will behave themselves? I'm sure it can't be anything to do with how I ski.
