"February is merely as long as is needed to pass the time until March."

From Dr. J. R. Stockton, that incredibly well-known late University of Texas Professor Emeritus of Business Statistics.

Yes, February!

I couldn't think of anything useful to say about February except Valentine's Day, and that's not particularly useful.

Perhaps Dr. J. R. Stockton was right. February does seem to be a sort of non-month.

Except for Imbolc. How could I forget that? Gaelic festivals are so much part of Of Night And Light - novel and screenplay. I don't think the date is exact but it's about now.

"Imbolc, also called Saint Brighid’s Day, (Irish: Lá Fhéile Bríde)  is a Gaelic festival marking the beginning of spring."

(Could someone inform the weather?)

So just now, I'm going to light a candle to represent the return of warmth and the increasing power of the Sun over the coming months.
